Mixed Metal Oxide by Calcination of Layered Double Hydroxide: Parameters Affecting Specific Surface Area

Mixed metal oxide (MMO) is one of the widely utilized ceramic materials in various industries. In order to obtain high performance, specific surface area MMO should be controlled. Calcination layered double hydroxide (LDH) a versatile way prepare with homogeneous distribution and well-developed porosity. Although researchers found that LDH-originated was relatively high, it had not been systematically investigated how controlled under certain parameter. this review, we summarized starting composition, calcination temperature, pore developing agent terms Briefly, represented MMOs Mg-Al components generally higher than Mg-Fe or Zn-Al components. temperature range 300–600 °C resulted area, while upper lower reduced values. Pore did result dramatic increase MMO; however, size became narrower presence agents.
